Ripken Baseball would like to extend an enormous and sincere thank you to each and every person who volunteered their time and effort to make the 2009 Cal Ripken World Series such a special event for all involved.

Every year, we strive to make sure the Cal Ripken World Series remains a world-class event showcasing incredible youth baseball in an equally amazing atmosphere. None of it would be possible without the generosity of the host families who housed our young ballplayers and the volunteers who selflessly donated their time in the spirit of the event.

In our efforts to grow the game of baseball at the grassroots level, the Cal Ripken World Series is our pride and joy. It’s about the love of the game, and sharing that passion with today’s young ballplayers. We can’t think of a better way to foster the growth of baseball than by hosting a top-notch international tournament in our tiny slice of Americana here in Aberdeen, MD.

We’d also like to extend our gratitude to all of our sponsors for their efforts and support of the Cal Ripken World Series, and their dedication to young athletes around the world. In addition, we'd like to thank MLB Network and MLB.com for helping us bring this special event to a national and global audience.
