General
Questions:
Q: Is there a time limit for games?
A: All games will start at 6:00 p.m. and last 1 hour and 45
minute. You cannot start the next inning if time has expired. (expect
weather delays)
Q: Who provides the game balls?
A: The home team will provide 2 game balls (one new and one lightly used)
Q: What are the bat regulations?
A: A bat must be 2 ¼ inches and no more then 33 inches in length.
Q: Can a player wear metal cleats?
A: Metal cleats or spikes are not permitted to be worn by any player,
coach or manager.
Pitching
Questions
Q: Are there a specific number of innings a player must pitch?
A: Teams must pitch an 8 or 9 year old at least 3 outs or 6 batters
in the A division. 10 or 11 year olds must pitch 3 outs or 6
batters in AA division. This must occur before the completion of the fourth
inning.
Q: What are the pitching rules per week?
A: Pitcher regardless of age may pitch six (6) innings per calendar
week. Pitchers must have two (2) calendar days rest between pitching
assignments if he/she pitches in more than two (2) innings in any one game.
Q: Can a pitcher who starts the game re-enter as a
pitcher if he leaves the field?
A:
Yes. Because of the free substitution rule a pitcher who starts the
game can leave the field and return as a pitcher.
Q: Can anyone pitch?
A: No, a 12 year old cannot pitch in the A division.
Game
Management Questions:
Q: Can we bat all players
A: All players must bat in batting order.
Q: Can I re-enter a player if he has already been withdrawn
from the game?
A: Open Substitution; any of the nine starting players may withdraw
and re-enter once provide such player occupies the same batting position.
